Seller's Description:
Near Fine. Dust Jacket Included. Book ISBN: 00959181601. First edition. A fine copy without dj. 200 pp, illustrated throughout, mostly in colour. Surfing in Hawaii, California, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan. Lots of uncommon vintage surfing photos. Previous owner's gift inscription. Tall book.
The first half of the book is an interesting tale of how surfing spread from Hawaii to California to Australia. The second half is a lot less interesting because it gets into detail of how boards changed sizes, who won what competition. I started skimming.
Great color photos throughout.
