Any book of Agnes Sanford is a total blessing.
I belong to the Lutheran Church which has been teaching classes on healing, The minister has instructed the elders regarding healing. The church's instruction book that I was given was called "Reclaim" and the minister who wrote that book gives a great deal of credit for the work to the writings of Agnes Sanford. The Lutheran Church says that for 400 years healing has not been part of the ministry...but cites remarkable healings by Martin Luther.
Any book of Agnes Sanford that can be found is a true blessing. I have all the works of hers and I read and re-read them and underline and write numbers of pages on the front cover.
I am by no means young. I have studied in depth so many books on religion and been involved in various religions for long periods of time.
By far the books of Agnes Sanford are the best.
I was so blest to come to know her very well. She healed me of a condition which I had had from the time I was 15...not life threatening. We became good friends and were in close contact I am honored to say...until her death. I was teaching school and my life was extremely busy.
I didn't study these books until after her death and how I regret this...how I regret this.
She was a true healer...and I met a lot of fakes along the way through the years until I met Agnes.
When she slid her one hand under my back and placed the other on my stomach (kneeling beside the bed upon which I lay) I felt that soothing Light which she speaks of in her first book The Healing Light...which is still in print.
Agnes was no long-faced dreary person. She was fun...she was artistic...she was totally great.
She gave all the credit for healing to Jesus. When she prayed she spoke to Him as one speaks to someone who you love who is a friend. as she prayed.
Agnes studied and prayed and did everything in her power to make herself available for the Lord to use her...and He DID!
I am doing a review of this book...but totally endorse the purchase of any of her books that may be found. I scarf them up and give them to friends myself. These books are "how to" books...
God bless you.

Recommend this, yes and no!
I sent for this book because I met the author many years ago and I was very impressed with her. However, I feel her book
is a little behind the times now. Some would get a meaningful read from it. Depends on where you fit in spiritually.

I cannot say enough about this book! If you believe in the Gifts of the Spirit, or want to discover how they operate (or can operate in your own life), Sanford does an excellent - mostly first hand account - of how the Holy Spirit works - especially with healing others and yourself. I have read other books by Sanford and I would rate this as my favorite. It almost seems as though Agnes is standing there having a conversation directly with you and telling you, how simple it can be to heal others and self. How you can petition or ask the Holy Spirit to come upon you and how you can be the "go-between" for another person and the Holy Spirit.
By all means, purchase this book and discover the Healing Gifts of the Spirit.
