Good. Spine creases, wear to binding and pages from reading. May contain limited notes, underlining or highlighting that does affect the text. Possible ex library copy, that'll have the markings and stickers associated from the library. Accessories such as CD, codes, toys, may not be included.
Good in Fair jacket. Ex-library with usual markings; jacket has significant damage-tears, edge wear, large chips, etc. boards worn at edges and spine tips, corners bumped; some occasional scribbles internally. Florence Page Jaques and her husband, Francis Lee Jaques, who illustrates this classic with beautiful black-and-white nature drawings, experience an unusually thrilling winter vacation following the waterfowl migration. Beginning with a duck-hunting trip in Minnesota, Florence writes a lively and detailed account of their trip down the Mississippi flyway, through the White River bottom swamps in Arkansas, and around the Rainey Wildlife Sanctuary in the marshlands of Louisiana."Mrs. Jaques' text, like her observation, is artless and fresh. She observes in an instant, never coolly, and with like spontaneity sets both her observation and her reaction to it." Saturday Review.
Good. Connecting readers with great books since 1972. Used books may not include companion materials, some shelf wear, may contain highlighting/notes, may not include cd-om or access codes. Customer service is our top priority!
Octavo; vg/good; dj, black and gold spine with white lines; no text on spine; dj, chipping; small open and closed tears; tape repair to head edges; HB, dark red cloth spine with silver/green spine; boards, minor shelf wear and bumping; illustrated endpapers; text block, clean; B/W sketches; Ex Library Borrower's Card pocket, rear pastedown; 102pp. Rockville.
The Geese Fly High was my second copy of this book. The first was a reprint done in the 1980's a good reprint but not a great reprint of the black ink drawings by the Author's husband, Francis Lee Jaques. After reviewing with a magnifying glass I believe the original drawings were just 2% to 3% more sharp. Good drawings started as great drawings and I am thrilled to get the orginals.
I thank internet book sales organizations like Alibris every day.
