(Thirty-five great homes of Colorado are treated here in word and picture with the story of each home and of the people who built and lived in it. Emphasis is upon the chief homes of the mountain and mining areas of the state, however homes in Denver and Colorado Springs were eliminated since these fill separate books. The homes also range out into the prairies to Trinidad, Pueblo, Greeley, Boulder and Fort Collins. Built with opulence when the taste dictated gingerbread or ornate, some of these fine homes were recorded for the spirit they showed since most of the structures are now gone, but have been preserved in print, or refaced. Ah, but these homes are still part of a vivid, interesting record of history.
