Fine in Fine jacket. From Library Journal Chopin's appearances as a concert pianist were relatively infrequent and the circumstances surrounding them are well known. Atwood, author of an account of Chopin's affair with George Sand ( The Lioness and the Little One, LJ 10/1/80), adds little to our knowledge of the composer's music, his technique and style of playing, or the social history of 19th-century concert life, so different from our own.
