Includes essays by Alfred H. Barr, Georges Hugnet, a brief chronology of the Dada and Surrealist movements, bibliography relevant to the exhibition held at the New York Museum of Modern Art in 1936-37. The third edition has changed in a few respects. It lists only those pictures which were illustrated, rather than the entire exhibition catalogue. There are six additional color plates and a few extra black and white plates as well.
