Cloth is moderately soiled, most prominently along edges, and a bit flecked in spots, with a somewhat darkened spine panel. xxiv, 810 pp., illus. w/ dozens of b&w illus., both set into text and full-page, 4 fold-out maps (as called for) a bit toned but complete and intact, laid in at rear. Lightly creased front flyleaf. Beyond the purely cosmetic soiling, a solid copy with firm binding and clean interior.

Corners bumped. Cloth a bit darkened. Ink stamps designating this as a "DeGolyer & MacNaughton Library Copy" on the endpapers. Donation ink stamp on the front free endpaper. No other ex-library markings. Text waterstained through the bottom quarter of the text block, affecting only the margins. Size: 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall.
