Although I just started reading this book, I can definitely recommend it. Written by a long-time practicing follower of Asatru, it's both a basic introduction to the Norse tradition and a good reference for those looking for the history of ancient Norse religion. It's full of good information, and there's a list of resources at the end, complete with contact information.
