If you want to make doll clothes that are reproductions of old Petersons magazine patterns, this is a good book. THe patterns are scaled to a 10 inch doll, so if your doll is larger or smaller, simply enlarge or reduce on a copy machine. The patterns also give measurements for human clothing for re-enactments. The original directions from Petersons are included, and some authors notes on construction. The author does assume that the reader has a good bit of sewing experience, as some of the instructions were a bit vague. If you are willing to figure out the construction of the garment, it is worthwhile owning this book from the 1980's.
