Having great variety or diversity; having many and various parts, aspects, types, etc. Also (with plural noun): many and various, b. Bot. Of leaves: arranged in many rows. rare...? Oxford English Dictionary "Multifarious" most aptly describes the artist, teacher, and my friend, Don Suggs. The word encapsulates the variety, diversity and multiplicity inherent to Suggs' choices of media and subject matter. It also speaks to his ability to distill contradiction into a single painting, object, photograph, drawing or sculpture. The fact it has a bit of an ominous ring to it, (maybe because it rhymes with "nefarious") is also appropriate because Suggs is a bit of a rebel and troublemaker? the quintessential lone wolf. 96 pages.
