Good. HB, Grosset & Dunlap, c1925 by author, 1st? , has a large appendix in back of California gold rush times and explanations. Brown cloth on boards with black lettering and small pictoral on front is showing bumped corners, wear to extremities, soil, rubbing with splashes, back cover has damp mark at bottom corner, head and foot of backstrip are torn with fraying, gift note and owner's stamp on fep, weak hinges, small margin tears, contents pretty clean but lightly browned and pretty tight with ads in back. Good.

VG. Caxton House edition bound in blue cloth. A VG copy in a VG dust jacke t. Damp stain at the upper edge of the front cover and small rubs to t he outer corners. The pages are slightly tanned. The dust jacket has s mall frays at the spine tips and corners. Dust soiling to the panels. Nice copy.
