Having suffered great emotions as a child whose parents kept the traditions to worship the same God with an African God. This author took me back to 1940 - 1990's when black who lived in Trinidad and Tobago places of worship were subject of abusive treatments this was the law for Preaching God's words. Of course, as a people we "Cut Loose the Spiritual Baptist or Shouters' Belief In God. Cut Loose Your Stammering Tongue is a true account of Early Black Theology in the Slave Narratives by Dwight N. Hopkins, Prof. (Editor), George Cummings (Editor). This is a serious philosophy that must be studied and must be taken grief treatment study guide. African descendants' Preachers "did stammer i.e they had one eye on the verbal text, memorized word, spirit filled emotions and the other eye looking out for a "police vehicle which rounded up all participants by the raid police." Enslaved Africans in the world were forbidden to utter thanksgivings to God. No one ever did express their forgiveness to a people whose wraths these African based religions did suffer. I now belong to the Unity School of Practical Christianity New Age Religion which moves my soul just as these post slaves religions who were moved by the Spirit, Soul and Mindfulness of God's Grace. A thought processing that is no different from the Shouters of other main stream evangalistic religions. I feel free to worship with my stammering tongue as God Divinely Orders. This book is excellent for African descendants to study every word in this book in order to eliminate their religious bitterness. This narrativeI is a pathway to enlightenments through me forgiving the laws of christian slave owners. Here I am able to forgive all past hurts that my parents and grand parents suffered. Read these great Slaves Narrative by this writer Dwight N. Hopkins, Prof. (Editor), George Cummings (Editor). TRUTH I forgive. A must read.
