The strongest rea--son is to be found in a number of cases, which, notwithstanding the great exertions of the natives to conceal them, are tried in the Native Courts: and we may be certain that every exertion is made to effect such concealment, where, from the nature' of their prejudices, the wholly family suffers by the discovery.-t A Brahmin cannot, by the Hindoo Law, sufl"er death.
