The pages are slightly darkened with age but clean and tight. Binding and cover are good. The book is in a slip case which shows considerable wear. Previous owner's bookplate inside front cover. 220 pages. "With fifty-one illustrations."
1st ed. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. #1007 OF 1250 COPIES SIGNED BY CURLE. Original blue cloth. Ex-library with various library labels and stampings. Overall a firm hardcover book in good condition. A classic account from the Golden Age of American Book-Collecting.
Fine/Very Good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, as well as signed and numbered on the limitation page. Octavo, 8 3/4" tall, xviii + 221pages + plate pages; blue cloth, paper labels, gilt top edge, deckle edge. A fine, clean, neat hard cover with light shelf wear and slight rubbing at the corners, binding solid, paper cream white with a touch of foxing to the fore-edges. In a glassine wrapper which has shrunken and split, plusa very good, moderately edge worn slip case.
Limited Edition. One of 1250 copies (this being No. 233) SIGNED by the author. Near Fine in a Very Good original acetate dust jacket and Good slipcase. Spine label lightly faded, with owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Jacket has two large chips, with an inch long closed tear at the spine panel. Slipcase has the limitation label torn off, with tears at three corners, and light rubbing. Altogether a nice copy, uncommon to find with slipcase and jacket in any condition.
Very Good in Poor jacket. 20.5 x 14.0 Cm. Signed by Author Limited ed., 1009/1250 signed by the author. Pp. xx, 221. Original dark blue cloth with paper labels on spine and upper board, spine label darkened. Glassine dust wrapper shrunk and torn with some loss, slipcase rubbed at extremities. Owner's details on front free end paper.
