Armand is just as attracted to Camille as she is to him, and she's prepared to give up the Baron and his stipend to be with Armand. Camille which stars the one and only Greta Garbo and the handsome Robert Taylor, is my very favorite movie of all time! Set in 1847 Paris, Marguerite (Garbo), is a courtesan who falls in love with handsome, younger Armand (Taylor), but taking the advise of his father, rejects him to be with a rich Baron, to save Armands reputation only later to find she cannot give him up. Armand wins her love only to find her days are numbered, as she has tuberculosis. The beautiful costumes and gorgeous scenery in this tragic romance are outstanding!
