I had never read Capote before. Now I am devouring In Cold Blood. Love his writing style and pace.

"The most perfect writer..."
I think most people today have an Audrey Hepburn-conditioned take on Holly Golightly. Who can help it?
I do not say this as a complaint. The film is wonderful, and if you haven't seen it already, I suggest you do. The novella is a different experience, altogether. It's too short; too bittersweet. The characters are too real, and too easy to care for. And you will enjoy every sentence of it.
On the back cover, there is a quotation from Norman Mailer: "Truman Capote is the most perfect writer of my generation. He writes the best sentences word for word, rhythm upon rhythm." If you decide to purchase this book, you're in for something special.
