Spine sunned, and boards unevenly faded, bookplate front pastedown, and the illustrations section at back of book may have had some moisture damage(pages were stuck together some, they all came apart, with no damage to illustrations, but white borders are a little wavy)). No evil smells, text is clean and binding is solid.
Second, revised edition 1933, 1967 printing. Illustrated with photos, music, a fold-out Bach family tree, and with extensive footnotes. --Hardcover. Condition: very good, with very good, price-clipped dust jacket.
