Good condition. Text is clean. Some soiling to outer pages. White paper cover with 4-color graphic is clean and bright and is covered with a "corrugated look" overcover with cut-out to view illustration below, which in turn is covered by a clear plastic sleeve with white lettering for title and info on flap. Striking 4-color throughout, text in both English and German.
Very Good. About the Author--Ivan Gantschev was born in Bulgaria in 1925. After surviv ing World War II, he worked as an artist. In 1966, he emigrated to Germany, where he lives today. His prize-winning works have been shown in galleries all over the world. Several of his books have been published by North-Sout h Books. He says he illustrates picture books because he wants to show chil dren that it's possible to solve problems peacefully.
