VG/VG. sun exposed DJ spine original blue appears gray and four antique glass pieces are upon gray background, titling centered within upper half of DJ spine. heavy edgewear to panel, concnetrated at DJ spine tip, remainder shows as heavily chafed and whitish where abrasive contact and whitish. price-clipped front inner flap. jacket under clear protective cover. dark blue clothbound HB with imprinted title and publisher, spaced apart and transitions to a gray cloth, tightly woven and with a glossy sheen, with lightly incised gold characters. solid ivory endsheets. 433 illustrations, including 67 full page illustrations. sound compact volume for student/collector. binding shaken, though no cracked binding, clear and voluminous text interior, gently handed and with no discoloration. thick light beige signatures on top edge, fore-edge and at bottom right of pages a tad gray and faintly marked on tail edge. 490 pp. Rockville.
