Signed by Author First Edition. Neatly signed by the author in black fountain pen the half-title. 8vo. 432 pp. A very good or better copy in black cloth, gilt titles on red panels to the spine. The title page & copyright page are both dated 1947 [no edition is stated & there is no number line]-the DJ is priced at $3.00. The book showing a bit of rubbbing at the bottom edge & general minor use-the bright DJ with some surface rubbing a a few tiny chips at the head & heel with some bleed on the inside spine panel from the book but still very decent. A stunning biographical novel centering on the life of American radical, Eugene V. Debs, a founding member of the International Labor Union and the Industrial Workers of the World.
