Very Good. The New Dolmen Chapbooks series, this is one of fifteen hundred copies printed. Bound in elegantly illustrated French stiff covers, which reproduces an engraving of Bective, County Meath, where the story is set. Mary Lavin was a celebrated, pioneering Irish short story writer and novelist. In very good condition, this copy is tightly bound. A previous owner's name appears neatly printed on the title page. Overall, a gift-quality copy of this scarce book.
