No Illustrations. Good + in Good jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Red hardcover with light shelf wear along bottom edge and lower tip has been bumped but no paper is showing. Dust jacket is rather worn & stained with a medium sized chip missing at head of spine, small chips on tips and a chip missing on rear cover but shows well in new mylar. FEP & REP have some age spots but otherwise the 232 pages are tight & bright with no tears or writing. Discursive, witty, charming, here is a book by a distinguished writer and connoisseur which will delight all who share his enjoyment of good wine, good books and good humour.
First edition. Octavo. 232pp. Owner's gift inscription on the front fly, scattered foxing, boards stained, else good in good, price-clipped dustjacket with interior staining, moderate soiling, tanning to the spine, and a few tears. Ex-James Gabler. Gabler G7202.
