This is a very thorough and readable history work. Well researched and substantiated. You truly understand Lincoln and his circumstances after reading it.

White's Lincoln is highly readable. The chapters are short and within each are sections; therefore, for those who have only a few minutes to read, this volume is a wonderful companion. I would have loved to have had Mr. White in my AP Language class: his analysis is stellar, insightful, cogent, wonderful.
