The Hague, Dr. W. Junk, 1982-1983. In two volumes. 8vo (24.0 x 15.6 cm). 848 [viii, 401; viii, 431 pp., 147 [74; 73] plates and 136 [60; 76] distribution maps, 147 text figures. Uniform yellow cloth. A detailed monograph, with excellent descriptions and illustrations of the species, in particular the taxonomically important parts. The distribution maps show that many "European" species occur in North Africa and/or northern Asia too. This monograph-in two volumes-was published in the Series Entomologica (editor K. A. Spencer) as volumes 22 and 25. It is well-illustrated and contains a large bibliography. Uniform stamp on front boards, front free endpapers and title pages. Small smudge to the top outer corner of the front board of volume 2. Otherwise nearly as new. A very good set.
