A Top Choice
Twenty-five Bridge Conventions You Should Know was the choice of members at The Bridge Center of St. Paul for our series of lessons after we had mastered the very fundamentals. (Sixty people participated and Tom Hammond led.) We don't know of anyone who uses all of these conventions, but we have all seen them and can try them and evaluate them over time to suit our styles and needs. Seagram and Smith have a combination of all the virtues you want in a book of lessons: Clarity, Comprehensiveness, Compactness, Quiz questions to use as review, a one-page synopsis of high points, and an eye-pleasing type set with optimal size and colorization. If you think you have gone as far as you can with the beginning principles, there is no better choice, in my opinion, to make for further advancement in your Bridge knowledge.

The Best Book on Conventions
I recommend this book to my beginner and intermediate players as an excellent way to start using conventions without getting confused or overwhelmed. It is simply excellent.
