The book I received was in quite GOOD condition except that it was badly marred by a HUGE ( 3x 2 in.) barcoded sticker attached so tenaciously that it removed bits of the back cover material when I carefully and laboriously removed it. Bad! Bad! Bad!

Great reference book. Herbs have been used for thousands of years. While some new applications have been developed, everything in this book still applies. Very few changes from a previous edition, and most likely few in any newer ones. A real bargain.

Likely it WAS in very good condition at the seller, but not on arrival. In transit, something hit it hard, crumpling the pages permanently and bending the CD in half. CD ruined b/c seller didn't use ANY insulation/bubble wrap for this softcover book/cd.

I thought this book was lost as it took 41 days to arrive, this wasn't necessarily the sellers fault though. I back these second hand books with wallpaper then plastic and it gives them a new lease of life, they're usually better paper than the new ones.

The previous owner had used a permanent marker to scratch out the author's name and write her own. Every illustration was colored over in crayons. It was not usable in my classroom. For $5.98, I expected "acceptable" to mean just that.

There was an inventory/upc sticker on the backcover of the book. It would not peal off but left residue/paper on the backcover. This practice should be changed to at least using a product that peals off without leaving paper/glue on the back cover.

If I hadn't just been gifted with this book which I gave to my daughter when she was in town, I never would have noticed that the outside edges of the volume were uniformily browned a bit--probably from shelf life. The price was excellent for a new book.
