There are a lot of old books on the market.  Some things I look for when a collector wants to purchase a book: 1)What is the condition of the book? If you are buying online, make sure you request pictures of the actual book?  Ask for picture of front and back boards; spine; dust cover if available; title page; copyright page. 2) Is it a first edition? 3) Is it a signed copy?  Signed by author?  Dedicated to someone famous? 4) What is the age of the book?    .... read more
