Very Good. Small 4to, 80 pp. with 31 black&white figures and 8 colour plates. Bound in 3/4 polished calf over marbled paper-covered boards. The extremities of the leather binding scuffed, esp. at corners; the paper boards only a little worn at edges. Two prev. owners' bookplates. Very sound overall.
Good. Cloth, quarto, 766 pp. with 295 figures + 6 photogravure plates. Ex-lib. Dec. gilt stamped cloth still bright. Hinges separated but binding still holding. Cloth a bit edge-worn at head and tail of spine, as well as at corners. Overall, a sound wokring copy.
