Charlie Byrne's Bookshop was established in Galway city in 1989. The shop now occupies a 2000 square foot premises on Middle St. and carries approximately 80,000 titles.We sell mainly secondhand books and publisher's overstock and new books at reduced prices. The latter we choose carefully, stocking what we consider to be interesting titles at good value. Most subject areas are covered in the shop, from mysteries and crime writing to philosophy and cultural studies.Our comprehensive selection include Irish and European history, modern literature, Irish fiction, Irish archaeology and literary biography.It's a place to spend some leisurely time and where browsing is encouraged.
