In addition to selling books online, Housing Works Bookstore is a large full service bookstore and cafe in the heart of Soho. We host award winning author readings and a monthly concert series where performers such as John Mayer play within our bookstore. All profits from the bookstore go to Housing Works Inc, the nation's largest minority controlled AIDS organization. Housing Works provides housing, job training, drug treatment, medical care, advocacy, and a host of other services for thousands of homeless and formerly homeless New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
