About this title: Cipes & the People's Conscious Revolution is a curious hybrid of reggae, hip-hop, dub, and rock, helmed by singer/songwriter Greg Cipes. Lyrically at least, Cipes owes most allegiance to reggae, his songs often geared toward uplifting statements of love and unity with some religious/political overtones, as well as some lusty romantic numbers. His voice is not the most attractive element of his music, with a faint warbling quality not unlike Marc Bolan, as dissimilar as his sound is to Bolan's otherwise.
