"I have been a big Damien fan for years now. I have seen him live a few times, so I was eagerly anticipating this CD when I heard it was coming out (since Damo doesn't seem to be too prolific). I loved 'O'; but it's pretty laid back, and when I first heard it, it had to grow on me little by little. During a concert, he's surprisingly a little more raw and angry than what you might expect from only listening to 'O', and '9' sounds a little more like what you get during a concert. '9' didn't quite seem as brilliant and tortured, and there's less Lisa Hanagan who adds a lot to the songs. It's earthier, and a little more common-sounding, but now that I've had the CD for a long time, I tend to want to listen to it more than 'O'. A definite keeper!"
