The Collection [Madacy] (2005)

About this title: Hmmm. These "must have recordings for the serious jazz collector" are presented on a double-disc set from Madacy. They were recorded at the Royal Roost in New York between 1948 and 1950. Basically, this stuff is Miles from during and just after the cool era. Bandmembers include Gerry Mulligan, John Lewis, Lee Konitz, and Max Roach. The problem is, there are no detailed notes of who plays on what track and none of them document exact performances.
