Real Disco (2001)

About this title: An intriguing double-disc collection packaged by Sony Australia, Real Disco certainly doesn't include much in the way of commercial hits -- only two or three come close -- but it does balance middling obscurities with a few nice tracks stretching the form. The compilers looked back to 1974's "Lady Marmalade" (Labelle) and ahead to the mid-'80s ("Rockit" by Herbie Hancock, "Lovergirl" by Teena Marie), all the way into house-pop of the '90s (Sunscreem's jubilant "Love U More").
