Blending the orchestral pop sounds that were popular at the time with his jazz roots, Hackett delivers romantic, artful performances on Soft Lights' "Bobby's Blues," "Under a Blanket of Blue," and "Someday You'll Be Sorry," and on In a Mellow Mood's "Lazy River," "Mood Indigo," and "You're My Thrill."
