In Concert (2000)

About this title: Bassist Dave Friesen and pianist Denny Zeitlin have worked together on a fairly regular basis for a few years. This set of piano-bass duets features close interplay, very quick reactions between the musicians, and subtle improvising. Performing four standards (including Wayne Shorter's "Speak No Evil" and "Airegin") and two originals apiece, the music is often both thoughtful and swinging. Well worth hearing.
