About this title: This is the fifth album by the Shetland-based Rock Salt & Nails, and it begins their third affiliation with Iona Records (their first two recordings, Waves and More and More, were also issued by that Scottish label). Continuing with their folk-infused pop music, Boxed is produced by influential Irish folk musician and songwriter Ron Kavana, who also contributes bouzouki, mandolin, and guitar. The defining elements of their sound, however, are Paul Anderson's uniquely Shetland style of fiddle playing and Paul Johnston's exuberant and youthful lead vocals.
