Gold Collection (2000)

About this title: A two disc set of 40 performances by the legendary cornetist. While the transfers are nice and clean (reasonably amazing given the age of the recordings at hand), there's no notes in the booklet, save for song titles and songwriter credits. But the music is as top notch as it gets and a better introduction to Bix's legend would be mighty hard to find. Even with lack of recording information, this set is highly recommended.
