About this title: Vince Clarke finally realized his seemingly lifelong ambition of becoming ABBA with this release. He actually outdoes Erasure's own Abba-Esque. Taking a break from Erasure, Clarke joined forces with Phil Creswick and Jason Creasy and came up with this retro-sounding CD. The music is steeped in '70s disco and '80s Eurobeat, and it is thoroughly enjoyable. This is a fun album. Nothing deep, just strong melodies (for which Clarke is famous) and excellent, warm production. Clarke is one of the few artists who does bring the warmth out of a synth.
