About this title: Sing out for Seva is a charity album for the Seva Foundation that compiles highlights from the foundation's benefit concerts in Berkeley, California, over the years. All 12 featured artists are somehow associated with West Coast folk- and blues-rock, if not part of the Grateful Dead or Crosby, Stills & Nash themselves. Consequently, the album has a nice, laid-back feel, which compensates for the lack of any real surprises. The only unexpected turns are Bob Weir's cover of "K.C.
