About this title: Titled after the community centers where Cuban trovadores (troubadours) gather to sing poetic serenades, the Casa de la Trova collection gathers 14 such serenades by important Cuban songwriters from throughout the 20th century, performed by an all-star group of current practitioners of the form. Musical contributors present include Daniel Castillo, Zaida Reyte, Manuel Napoles, Pablo Rodriguez, Roberto Sotolongo, Lusson Bueno, Alfredo Alonso Martinez, Lucia Lago, Cascarita, the Ferrin Sisters, the Faez Sisters, and the Miraflores Trio.
