About this title: This single CD compiles Greenwich's two solo LPs, Composes, Produces, and Sings (1968) and Let It Be Written, Let It Be Sung... (1973), with one single and a bonus cut. Composes, Produces and Sings came about after a Bob Crewe-produced single, "I Want You to Be My Baby," which had a solid mid-'60s girl-group sound, did well. The sound of the entire album, which Greenwich admits was arranged, recorded and mixed in less than a week, is upbeat, highly melodic, post-girl-group, like a more mature amalgam of the Dixie Cups and the Shangri-Las.
