In Your Area (1999)

About this title: Like Zones, Palace Springs, and a few other Hawkwind issues, 1998's In Your Area is a combination of concert recordings and original studio tracks. The first six numbers feature live performances caught during the band's 1997 campaign. Fans in possession of an "Earth Visitor Passport" might prefer the Hawkwind '97 collection for a more complete documentation of this particular touring version of Hawkwind. There doesn't appear to be much studio tampering on this live section of In Your Area, which isn't necessarily a good thing as the recording quality is only decent at best.
