About this title: For Evidence Blues Sampler: Six, the modern blues'n'jazz label doesn't alter the approach of their samplers much -- they still mix up the modern with the classic reissues. However, they do tip the scales a little bit toward the newer side of things, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since it gives the album more cohesion than other volumes. This does come at the expense of variety, and this album doesn't seem as freewheeling as its predecessors.
