About this title: Stumble is an incredibly vibrant concert recording of the AALY Trio with Ken Vandermark which took place January, 1998 at Chicago's Unity Temple. All of the participating musicians are skilled and passionate players who, by the end of the 1990s, had stepped up to the forefront of free jazz and extended techniques. Although many listeners are put off by the sounds of avant-garde jazz's wilder territories, others find the hot and fiery side of jazz energy to be invigorating; this album is for the latter group.
