About this title: Rave Down is the second of three spectacular pre-Raise singles from Oxford's Swervedriver. As with just about any of the band's singles, the B-sides are anything but afterthoughts or gap fillers, rivaling and occasionally topping material found on the respective full-length album. The bulldozing, bass-driven, Dinosaur Jr.-meets-Stooges onslaught continues in fine form. The fiery assault of "Afterglow" is the best of the extra material on this one, an extra that would have made for one of the top tracks on Raise.
