About this title: This is not Junior Parker's best material, nor is it his best-known. That said, it's pretty good all the same. Parker was on Mercury, then their subsidiary, Blue Rock, in the second half of the '60s, and throughout he recorded elegant but rollicking soul-blues -- very similar to what he did at Duke, but a little smoother, with a little heavier accent on the blues and with material that wasn't quite as good.
