About this title: The title of this double LP is not quite accurate, for rather than being The Beginning of violinist Michal Urbaniak's career (he had recorded as early as 1969), it was close to the end of his stay in his native Poland; he would defect to the U.S. within a year. The music (all but one song is an Urbaniak original) falls into the fusion area and gives listeners a strong early dosage of Urbaniak (who also plays soprano, tenor and flute), his wife Urszula Dudziak (an innovative avant-garde singer), and Adam Makowicz.
