About this title: A collection of classic folk performances that are enjoyable, but readily available elsewhere. Of the 29 tracks, 17 of them feature Woody Guthrie. Among the classic songs are "Tom Dooley," "900 Miles," "Alabama Bound," "Midnight Special," and "Casey Jones." The focus of the album is scattered, and there is nothing here that will excite collectors, but the selection is excellent, especially for those who are new to these folk pioneers.
