About this title: Daniel Davis' third album, I Know A Place, is a breakthrough. For the first time, he's been able to convey the raw energy of his concerts on a recording and that frisky spark gives more dimension to his music. The material on the album remains inconsistent, however. Even though he has written several of the record's songs, Davis hasn't assembled a thoroughly winning collection of songs -- he's merely chosen a few enjoyable numbers.
